Mantra Meditation to focus attention and cultivate awareness
Experience the power in the repetition of a mantra as a form of meditation. The power of mantra repetition can quiet the mind, de-stress during challenging times, and unlock positive qualities within. A simple method for bringing out divine qualities, helping you change habits, and know God in a deeper way. As you develop your relationship with a mantra, you will experience how it naturally pulls you into meditation, quieting your mind and shutting off the constant chatter (and sometimes negativity) we all have a tendency to experience. It also provides a way for us to remember what’s important to us during the challenging moments in our life. If we can just remember our mantra when we’re in that moment of anger, sadness or fear or frustration…the experience of these emotions often loses their power over us and is replaced by a power of our choosing–like happiness, patience, courage, or compassion.
Each class is 1 hour long and will have a theme. However, you will be encouraged to set your own intention for your mantra meditation. Mantra meditation will be a mostly silent meditation and will include a short optional journaling exercise.
We have mala beads available for your use during class, or feel free to bring your own.
