Christmas in July ~ An Epic Success!

Posted by Janet Ellis on

With light and breezy tank tops gracing the front of the store, and Beach Boys Christmas music playing in the background, our Christmas in July Celebration was a mash up between summer vacations and holiday celebrations.

Bringing old and new friends together to celebrate life and love is what we are all about, and Christmas in July proved to do just that. Tosca Kerr (owner of Lively Mind Art Studio) dropped by on Friday morning, and in her true blue friend way, asked what she could do to help. Without hesitating, I put her to task on our Welcome Sign. Hearts and Holly became her theme and I love how it turned out. Thank you my dear, dear friend for helping us welcome everyone to our celebration.

Successful events are never created in a vacuum by just one person, and I am so blessed to have  great friends, Michelle Tetreault and Erin Edwards, (Owner of Odd Jobz) as well as my mom, Cecilia Bryant who spent hours the day and night before decking the halls, and creating lovely gift packages for you to choose from. These are women "who get it," and who embody a philosophy of love, service, and fun, as well as who understand the concept of blurring the line between work and play.

From our morning Holiday Peppermint Iced Mochas, to our evening Celebration Cocktail, and our refreshing Peppermint Infused Ice Water, we kept everyone hydrated on an especially warm summer day. Our Holiday Mini Desserts were a huge hit, and we are looking forward to hosting a workshop to show you how to put together a simple and elegant Holiday Dessert Table that will wow your guests and not leave you exhausted and broke.

We wanted to put together an event that would get us all out of the heat, entertain us, and help us get a head start on the upcoming holidays. We all know they will be upon us before we know it. We called upon some of our best artists to create some fun demonstrations that were a huge hit. Visionary Artist, Gina Richmann came in and led us in a Silk Scarf Painting Workshop the ended up being an inspiring collaboration. Berlinda purchased the finished piece as a gorgeous wearable Vision Board. Fabulous Floral Designer, Jodi Rinke facilitated several captivating mini flower arranging workshops. Jewels Just for You, Jewelry Designer Carolyn, expertly styled a number of our guests throughout the weekend. Several of our mini workshops will be available this fall as Full Workshops. Check our Workshop Calendar to get the details.

With our first Christmas in July being an epic success, we are excited to be planning our Fall season. New products and workshops are being added to the shelves and to the calendar, so be sure to check back regularly. Seating is limited on most of our workshops, and you don't want to miss out!

Have a lovely day!

Janet xoxo
