{Holidays} Labor Day Weekend

Posted by Janet Ellis on

Did you know that the first Labor Day was celebrated in New York City? In 1894 Congress passed a law that made the first Monday in September a legal holiday celebrating the American workforce that made the country prosperous and strong.

Many of us take advantage of the long weekend and get out of town. For others, it's an opportunity to gather family and friends for a holiday barbeque. We tend to opt for the latter, throwing together a casual gathering that includes family games and good food. This year we've found a new board game Trekking the Parks, created by local family: Charlie, Terry and John Binkele. Super fun and educational for adults, kids, and families. We've enjoyed playing with our adult kids and are ready to move to the advanced version! Come in a check it out today!
